ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. – Israel was the fastest-growing destination for American travelers who purchased travel insurance from leading travel insurance comparison site, Squaremouth, in the past year. Israel saw a nearly 50% increase in travelers, followed by Iceland which saw a 43% increase.
Squaremouth’s newly released report also includes the average trip cost for the top 5 fastest-growing destinations. This data shows a significant increase in traveler spending for Nordic countries.

- Portugal became more affordable with a 10% decrease in the average trip cost
- Israel saw a modest increase in the trip cost of less than 6%, and Vietnam saw a slight decrease in spending of about 3%
