SINGAPORE – Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company has announced plans to launch flights connecting Vladivostok (Russia) with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hue and Phu Quoc in Vietnam.

Inaugural flights between Hanoi and Vladivostok will begin operating in May 2015, with three round trips per week. The flight duration is approximately four hours per section.

Unique for its geographical location, Vladiovostok has become known as the “San Francisco of Russia”. Set against a mountainous backdrop, the city is home to breathtaking sceneries and stunning coastlines. Rich in culture and history, Vladivostok is an architectural mix of European, Soviet and Asian influences.

Passengers travelling from Singapore will soon be able to connect to Vladivostok via Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. In the near future, Vietjet also plans to expand its flight network from Vietnam to other regions within Russia.

Since Vietjet started its operations three years ago, the airline has doubled its commercial fleet, resulting in the transportation of approximately six million passengers thus far. Vietjet currently operates 25 domestic and international routes. It offers daily flights from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City where travellers can easily connect to other cities within Vietnam via the airline’s extensive network of domestic flights. Daily flights to Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport depart Changi International Airport at 12.40pm (local time). Other international routes include Bangkok, Siem Reap and Seoul.
