LONDON – Passenger experience specialists representing 33 long-haul and regional airlines from around the world will meet in Seattle for the annual Passenger Experience Conference and Aircraft Interiors Expo Americas, which take place at the Washington State Convention Center. The conference is being staged on October 14, while the Expo – the only dedicated aircraft interiors exhibition in the Americas – runs October 14 through 16.

US carriers attending include American Airlines, ATA Airlines (formerly American Transair), Atlas Air, Delta Air Lines, Express Jet, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue, Southwest Airlines and WestJet. Airlines from Asia, Europe and the Middle East are also sending delegates.

Enhancing the passenger experience is a crucially important factor in the fierce battle to win and retain passenger loyalty and new ideas are constantly being developed. They include innovative seating to provide more legroom and new advances in in-flight entertainment. Wi-Fi connectivity in the passenger cabin is a particularly hot topic and conference delegates will benefit from the insights of James Seidman, Senior Account Executive at Google.

With Seattle hosting the event it is fitting that The Boeing Company is participating, with Jeffrey Robinson, Director Brand and Advertising and Kent Craver, Regional Director Passenger Satisfaction & Revenue, both speaking.

Experts presenting the airlines’ views include Mark Krolick, Managing Director of Marketing and Product Development, United Airlines; Caroline Soegtrop, Manager Inflight Services, Air Transat; Tom Grant, Manager, Inflight Cabin Services, WestJet; and Jerry Rose, Manager – Cabin Maintenance, Delta Air Lines.
