WOW air appoints AVIAREPS with representation in Italy, Poland and Spain

Multinational aviation and tourism management expert becomes official General Sales Agent.

WOW air, currently Iceland’s only low-cost airline, entrusts AVIAREPS with the representation in Italy, Poland and Spain. With immediate effect, the global aviation and tourism management company will be in charge of sales, marketing and ticketing activities of the airline to establish the brand within the respective markets and to promote the connections between Iceland and the European mainland.

Presently, WOW air flies year round from Iceland to Berlin, Copenhagen and London. The young airline, which started flying around Europe from 31st May 2012, is still growing and intends to connect Iceland with the 15 top European destinations in 2013: London, Copenhagen, Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Milan, Zurich, Stuttgart, Dusseldorf, Berlin, Lyon, Alicante, Frankfurt, Vilnius and Warsaw. Accordingly, WOW air’s fleet which comprises two Airbus A320 this winter will double to four next year.

WOW air, headquartered in Reykjavik, was established in November 2011 by serial entrepreneur Skuli Mogensen, whose business background is largely in technology and telecoms in Iceland, Europe and North America. The airline has recently taken over certain parts of Iceland Express, becoming Iceland’s only budget airline. The airline commits itself to always providing the cheapest flights to and from Iceland as well as memorably good service, under the premise that a smile costs nothing.
