Yoga on the Fly introduces private airport Yoga experience

First-to-market concept is your ticket to traveling well.

NEW YORK – Yoga on the Fly, the first-to-market private airport yoga concept, announces the opening of its first studio. Offering yoga and meditation practices designed for the modern traveler, Yoga on the Fly's simple and efficient experience focuses on alleviating stress, promoting health and increasing well-being. The concept provides easy-to-follow instructional videos, yoga mats and wireless headsets within each of its private, mini studios, offering passengers and air travel employees an escape from the mental and physical stress of traveling. Yoga on the Fly's first studio will open at Denver International Airport (DEN) on Nov. 6, with additional airport locations rolling out in 2018.

Yoga on the Fly was founded by Elizabeth Feinstone and Avery Westlund, who met while teaching yoga on a retreat in Nicaragua and connected over their shared love of travel, as well as their aversion to the unfavorable effects it takes on body and mind. The two began to consider how yoga can be used to not only recuperate from travel, but to prevent the physical and mental discomforts of flight before takeoff. From there, Yoga on the Fly was born as a way to revolutionize health and wellness en route by offering guided yoga, meditation and breathwork in serene, private studios at airports around the world.

"We are thrilled to be introducing the world's first-ever guided, private yoga and meditation experience within airports," said Feinstone. "Our goal is to elevate the passenger and staff experience, offering an accessible respite from the chaos of travel."

Yoga on the Fly's DEN studio will encase a welcoming reception desk, five private studio rooms and a curated retail selection of athleisure wear and mindful travel accessories. Class options range from 8 to 20 minutes and include yoga, meditation and breathwork via instructional iPad videos. Classes, which can be combined for longer sessions, feature guided movement specific to travel-related issues such as poor circulation, muscle aches, anxiety and more. To ensure a seamless experience for all levels of physical and mental fitness, Yoga on the Fly will supply Yoga By Numbers® mats, SoundOffTM wireless headphones and an essentials 'beauty bar' within its sanctuary-like private spaces. The retail offering will showcase travel and wellness-minded brands including MPG Sport, Blooming Lotus Jewelry, Manduka, Zaq, S'well, Go Dash Dot and more.

The Yoga on the Fly DEN studio will begin with a 90-day residency for the holiday season, open Sundays-Fridays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
