TRIPBAM releases updated version of smart sourcing for hotel RFPs

TRIPBAM has also expanded its support team to maintain rapid response times for buyers and hoteliers.

DALLAS – TRIPBAM, the global provider of air and hotel fare/rate reshopping, auditing, benchmarking and sourcing, has launched the latest version of Smart Sourcing for hotel RFPs. This product update provides an even more powerful engine for travel professionals to automate and streamline their hotel sourcing activities.

TRIPBAM Smart Sourcing, which first launched in late 2019, ensures a more efficient RFP process by reducing manual work for corporate travel buyers and hoteliers.

“We’ve spent the past three years working with clients and their hotel partners to eliminate waste from what has traditionally been a long and time-consuming exercise,” said TRIPBAM EVP of Hotel Solutions David Mollov. “This newest release goes even further to make sourcing easier for buyers, national account managers and hotel properties.”

TRIPBAM Smart Sourcing enhancements include:

  • An updated RFP dashboard to help buyers evaluate supplier responses, and make decisions faster and easier
  • The option to self-extract bids in common travel agency formats like PRDS, HARP, Concur and GBTA
  • Improved currency conversion capabilities
  • A holistic National Sales Manager dashboard configured with hotel chain feedback to enable chains to participate in the RFP process
  • Updated and expanded training materials for buyers, national account managers (NAMs), and properties

TRIPBAM has also expanded its support team to maintain rapid response times for buyers and hoteliers.

“A number of the legacy RFP service providers are pulling the plug on their sourcing operations,” said Steve Reynolds, TRIPBAM founder and CEO. “We’ve instead made the investment to create an offering that addresses longstanding issues of corporate hotel sourcing.”

Smart Sourcing works in conjunction with TRIPBAM’s other solutions, including hotel reshopping, contract auditing and benchmarking to save clients money, reduce manual processes and optimize supplier contract performance. The number of Smart Sourcing corporate users doubled year over year in 2022 and is on track to do the same in 2023.

Travel managers and corporate travel departments looking to advance their hotel sourcing strategy can begin using the new version of Smart Sourcing immediately.
