Poken expands US operations with the opening of a New York office

Poken’s New York office at 675 Hudson Street is in the Meatpacking District, a hub for technology firms including Google and YouTube and the New York High Line.

Poken, ‘the Green Event Platform’, announces the opening an office in New York, to better support its expanding business into the East Coast meetings and events industry. The new office adds to Poken’s existing US presence in Palo Alto, California.

Poken’s New York office at 675 Hudson Street is in the Meatpacking District, a hub for technology firms including Google and YouTube and the New York High Line. The office itself is in the building colloquially named ‘The Little Flatiron’, as it is a smaller building reminiscent of one of New York’s most famous landmarks – ‘The Flatiron’.

Poken’s former Head of Global Events, Ramon Zurbuchen, will head up the new US team in the role of General Manager. Brian MacNamara has also been recruited to the role of Sales and Event Manager. Brian was formally Director of Sales for financial services company Zipmark and brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Several additional recruits have been added to the US Poken team, primarily with event management or software development backgrounds.

Stephane Doutriaux, CEO of Poken, says: “The New York team will work to expand our East Coast client base and operations while continuing our commitment towards providing clients with cutting-edge technology solutions.

“This is an exciting time for Poken as our client base continues to expand and we celebrate several new client wins, including the bid for a third consecutive year to supply our meeting scheduling and attendance tracking platform to the Department of Veteran Affairs and other government events, as well as some leading medical industry associations and large corporate clients.”
