Continuing the short-haul travel theme, Italy secured the third spot (9.8%) for its designer shopping, delicious cuisine and the ability to fly from the UK in just a few hours. Meanwhile the Netherlands was the fourth most popular destination (7%) due to sightseeing opportunities and busy calendar of events and concerts.

The most popular long-haul destination for TourBar’s UK solo travellers this spring is the Dominican Republic (6.7%) with members reporting its beaches and sightseeing opportunities as the main reason they were visiting.
