ISTAT Europe achieves record-breaking attendance

With record-breaking attendance, more than 1,000 delegates are on hand to hear leading industry executives debate current issues and trends.

ISTANBUL, TURKEY – The International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) kicks off its 21st European conference at the Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus.

With record-breaking attendance, more than 1,000 delegates are on hand to hear leading industry executives debate current issues and trends.

“This event brings together executives in airlines, manufacturing, maintenance, sales, financing, trading, appraising and related services,” says Dick Forsberg, ISTAT Europe Chairman and Head of Strategy at Avolon. “It provides the setting for aviation professionals to connect within the European marketplace. Again this year, we are pleased to feature one of the world’s leading global airlines’ executives, Dr. Temel Kotil, Chief Executive Officer of Turkish Airlines, as our keynote speaker.”

This is the third of ISTAT’s three major events in 2014, following ISTAT Americas and ISTAT Asia, earlier this year. ISTAT Americas also saw record-breaking attendance.

“The growth in ISTAT events, as well as the society in general, is representative of what’s happening within the marketplace,” says ISTAT Treasurer and Europe Co-chairman, Douglas W. Runte of Deutsche Bank. “For the past several years, ISTAT has seen steady growth in event attendance and the trend is accelerating.”

Attendees routinely return to ISTAT events for the original content that is sourced and planned by the society’s members. The most current trends and market activities are discussed.

ISTAT Europe runs through today, 23 September.
