Corinthia Hotel London was honored by Luxury Travel Advisor with a 2013 Award of Excellence for Best Authentic Experience Series for the hotel’s Downton Abbey Town-and-Country Experience at the Petworth Estate. Ruthanne Terrero, vice president of content and editorial director for Questex Travel Group, made the announcement during a special ceremony at the Luxury Travel Advisor’s Ultra Summit held in Chicago on March 24, 2014.

The Petworth Estate experience begins with an early morning pick up from the hotel on Whitehall Place (Range Rover or helicopter options available) to the Petworth estate in West Sussex, only a one hour and fifteen minutes’ drive. Guests then have a diversity of experiences to suit their interests: hunting and shooting across the estate, an incredible breakfast and picnic lunch (depending on weather) and afternoon tea, prepared on the estate by Corinthia’s Executive Chef Garry Hollihead and delivered to guests by butlers and estate staff, tour of the ancestral home of Lord and Lady Egremont, viewing the largest private collection of artwork by Turner, and horse and cart tour of the estate.
