The Beverly Hills Hotel celebrates the city's Centenary with the new Suite 100 inspired by Marilyn Monroe

Suite 100 – The Golden Age inspired by Marilyn Monroe, and the Norma Jean Experience to debut next year.

The Beverly Hills Hotel has joined with Montage Beverly Hills, The Beverly Hilton, L’Ermitage Beverly Hills and The Peninsula Beverly Hills, to celebrate Beverly Hills’ 2014 Centennial with Suite 100, a hospitality promotion created by the Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau. Each hotel will redecorate one of its suites in an effort to transport guests who stay in the room back to moments in time from the past 100 years and showcase the legendary style of one of the world’s most glamorous cities.

“Having just celebrated our centennial milestone in 2012, we are thrilled to be participating in this nostalgic promotion to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of Beverly Hills,” says Edward Mady, regional director and general manager. “Our Suite 100 personifies one of the many glamorous moments in the legendary heritage of The Beverly Hills Hotel, and the Norma Jean Experience pays homage to one of the world’s most enduring icons. We are very proud of our storied history with this wonderful community, and look forward to another century of service to neighbours, visitors and Hollywood royalty,” he adds.

Tihany Design drew inspiration for The Beverly Hills Hotel’s Suite 100 from the understated-elegance style of Paul Williams, the celebrated architect who designed the hotel’s Polo Lounge, signage and iconic pink-and-green colour scheme, and the glamorous lifestyle of Marilyn Monroe, a frequent hotel guest. Gracefully curved furnishings in rich hues of green and blue will complement the existing architectural details of the suite’s curved ceilings and walls. Quintessentially Californian, the design will feature black lacquer finishes, tropical prints, shag carpets and a bar made of rich sycamore wood that speaks to the era’s modernist influence.

Suite guests will appreciate the variety of Marilyn Monroe-themed services and amenities offered, including a display case showcasing original artefacts from her estate (courtesy of Julien’s Auctions), comprehensive library featuring her most popular books and films, a Champagne Bubble Bath Menu option, bottle of Chanel No. 5, and well-known song selections from the 1950’s at turndown service.

Marilyn Monroe enthusiasts who want an enhanced transformational stay may select the Norma Jean Experience and enjoy the following inclusive amenities and services:

  • Roundtrip airport transfers in a vintage car
  • Bottle of Dom Perignon welcome amenity
  • Marilyn’s Menu for Two, featuring her favourite dinner meal (offered through in-room dining)
  •  Two 90-minute Diamond Perfection body treatments in the hotel’s La Prairie Spa
  • Breakfast for two one morning
  • “The Beverly Hills Hotel and Bungalows – The First 100 Years” Anniversary Book
  • Commemorative Marilyn Monroe Coffee Table Book
