two new sun destinations from Manchester Airport to Corfu and Menorcaions from Manchester Airport

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have launched two exciting new destinations for summer 2013 from Manchester Airport to the popular holiday islands of Corfu and Menorca, bringing the northern leisure airline’s destination total to 38.

With more than 1,000 seats each week to family favourite Menorca, flying three times a week from 11th May 2013, there’s plenty of choice for families and couples looking for a Mediterranean break. Weekly flights to the Greek getaway of Corfu will start from 20th May 2013.

The announcement of the two sun-soaked hotspots means holidaymakers from the North West can now fly to the three beautiful Balearic Islands and five gorgeous Greek islands with Jet2.com from their local airport.

Steve Heapy, Chief Commercial Officer of Jet2.com and Managing Director of Jet2holidays, said:  “We’re proud to add even more leisure travel choices from Manchester Airport with these two popular new destinations. We offer the flexibility of travel dates and durations that North West holidaymakers are looking for. What’s more, our consumer research tells us that our All Inclusive holidays continue to be a popular choice for families and couples in the current climate due to the great value which makes the holiday budget to go further.

“Manchester Airport is the second largest base for Jet2.com, flying to 38 destinations in total and currently carrying more than 1.2m passengers per year. We added five new destinations for 2012 from Manchester Airport and have so far added three for Summer 2013. This announcement of two additional sun routes from the airport bolsters our position as the North’s leading leisure airline.”

Ken O’Toole, Chief Commercial Officer for Manchester Airports Group (MAG) said: “Ever since Jet2.com commenced operations from Manchester they have continually grown, and by adding these two new routes it takes their total number of destinations served to 38.  They have continually invested in developing a strong route network to popular locations, which has given our leisure passengers in the North even more choice in deciding where to go on holiday. We hope to see them continue to add services from Manchester in the future.”
