ATTA joins Adventure Travel Trade Association's Partner program

The ATTA’s AP program helps tourism professionals to better network and improve cooperation within the specialized adventure sector of the travel and leisure industry.

Networking, cooperative marketing and collaboration serve as the driving forces behind increased participation in the Adventure Travel Trade Association’s (ATTA) Association Partnership Program, which announced the addition of five new members, including the global body representing indigenous tourism interests.

With the addition of these organizations the ATTA’s Association Partner (AP) network has risen to 36 associations on six continents, expanding its geographic reach and areas of adventure expertise.  The newly added associations include:
– Association of Croatian Travel Agencies (UHPA)
– Hospitality Association of Namibia (HAN)
– International Rafting Federation (IRF)
– Tour and Safari Association of Namibia (TASA)
– World Indigenous Tourism Alliance (WINTA)

With the newest member additions, the ATTA’s AP network gains networking resources in Africa, Eastern Europe, and within the professional rafting community. In the case of WINTA, the ATTA gains deeper connections and expertise within the indigenous tourism community, while actively supporting the Alliance’s aspirations to share traditional experiences and universal indigenous values to address the need for balance and harmony both between different peoples and between people and environment.

Representing thousands of individual organizations including tour operators, destination marketing organizations, tourism boards, guides, accommodation, media and service providers, the ATTA’s AP program helps tourism professionals to better network and improve cooperation within the specialized adventure sector of the travel and leisure industry. The AP also improves intelligence gathering and sharing on critical matters such as sustainable tourism, education, trends and research, online marketing, risk management and matters critical to raising the quality and professionalism of the industry as a whole.

Established in 1990, the Seattle-based ATTA is a global membership organization dedicated to unifying, networking, professionalizing, promoting and responsibly growing the adventure travel market. Host of the annual Adventure Travel World Summit executive trade conferences and publisher of AdventureTravelNews.com, the leading digital trade journal serving the adventure tourism industry, the ATTA also makes possible Adventure.Travel, the traveler’s hub of physical, cultural and nature-based adventure travel and guide to trusted tour operators from around the globe.
