Serbian national airline and Turkish Airlines expand codeshare partnership.

Air Serbia and Turkish Airlines, the national airlines of Serbia and Turkey, have further expanded their codeshare cooperation with Air Serbia adding its marketing code to flights to
destinations in the Turkish Airlines network in Canada. The Serbian national airline has added its “JU” code to Turkish Airlines flights between Istanbul and Canadian cities Toronto,
Montreal, and Vancouver, which is the first time Air Serbia's marketing code will appear in the Canadian market. Fares are already available for purchase on the airserbia.com website for
travel starting from today, 19 September.

“We continue to develop our longstanding partnership with Turkish Airlines. Thanks to this new expansion of the codeshare agreement, passengers will have the opportunity to travel via Istanbul to three important and large Canadian cities. The service to Canada is of great importance for the large diaspora from the wider Balkan region countries, as well as for all others who want to visit Canada for business or tourism,” said Ivana Miklja Mučalov, Manager International Affairs & Alliances, Air Serbia.

With the addition of new cities in Canada, the expanded codeshare network now includes 21 Turkish Airlines destinations to which Air Serbia has added its marketing code. Flights are available from Istanbul, Turkey’s largest city, which is connected to Belgrade with multiple daily services by both Serbian and Turkish carriers throughout the year.

Air Serbia and Turkish Airlines have strengthened their mutual codeshare partnership several times so far. In April of this year, the Serbian national airline added its “JU” code to the Turkish Airlines service between Istanbul and São Paulo, making it the first appearance of Air Serbia’s marketing code in the South American market. It was also added to the Turkish Airlines service from Istanbul to Almaty and Abu Dhabi. The national airline of Turkey placed its “TK” code on Air Serbia flights to Ohrid, North Macedonia.
