Travelport, the business services provider to the global travel industry, and Senegal Airlines have jointly announced a global, full content agreement for Galileo and Worldspan-connected users worldwide.
The new 3-year agreement, which takes immediate effect, will provide all Travelport GDS users with full access to fares and inventory including the best published fares and functionality parity with all other distribution channels. Senegal Airlines have regular scheduled flights to Abidjan, Bamako, Banjul, Bissau, Cap-sikirring, Conakry, Cotonou, Dakar, Douala, Libreville, Niamey, Ouagadougou, Praia and Ziguinchor.
Senegal Airlines will also deploy Travelport’s ETAT ticketing solution for non-BSP countries, which enables airlines to distribute their products, issue tickets and collect revenues in countries, such as Conakry, where IATA’s Bank Settlement Plan is not available to the travel industry.
“Senegal Airlines service a significant part of West Africa and we are excited about this agreement which will secure this content for our GDS users worldwide” said Mark Meehan, managing director for Travelport in Africa.
Andy Guenthard, general manager of Senegal Airlines “We believe the partnership with Travelport is a natural progression in our business strategy and the distribution platform they provide will ensure a global reach to provide our content to the travel trade.”
