The programme will begin with a seminar conducted by lastminute.com on Monday 24th September which will examine the impact of the worldwide web and ecommerce on the travel industry and the benefits that can be gained from these developments.

On 25th September there will be two seminars presented by CIMPA which will look at the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) market. The first will give an understanding of how US meeting planners select venues for their events and the second will look at emerging web and wireless trends for meetings professionals. Following the CIMPA sessions, the International Tourism Institute of Switzerland in conjunction with PATA will run a session entitled 'Tourism Education – A Mediterranean Perspective' in which they will look at the characteristics of tourism development in the Mediterranean region in light of increasing competition from new destinations.

On Wednesday 26th September the seminar programme's focus will turn to the environment with a number of initiatives organised by Green Globe. One of which is a seminar looking at how to save money, improve customer appeal and help reduce the impact of global warming using the Green Globe model.

"The aim of running the business seminars at MTF is to provide our visitors and exhibitors with practical ideas and assistance for marketing their products and services around the globe", comments Lindsey Kavanagh, Marketing Manager for the event, "The seminars will be free of charge to all delegates. No pre-booking is required and places will be available on a first come first served basis."
