Accor and Hua Ye Xiamen Hotel to part ways

Τhe Hua Ye Xiamen Hotel and Accor Asia Pacific Company (AAPC) Shanghai Co. Ltd announced that, effective August 1st 2009, they have mutually agreed to discontinue using the Sofitel brand and related management services for the currently named Sofitel Plaza Xiamen.

The owners of Hua Ye Xiamen Hotel would like to express their gratitude to AAPC Shanghai Co. Ltd for its invaluable support in helping to establish Sofitel Plaza Xiamen as the city’s leading hotel.

Commenting, Mr. Markland Blaiklock, Senior Vice President Sofitel Asia Pacific said: “ACCOR remains committed to the owners of Hua Ye Xiamen Hotel and remains committed to current and future collaborations.”

ACCOR has managed the hotel under the Sofitel brand since July 2005 and in that time, has dedicated its efforts to offering guests unparalleled service. Both parties will continue to work alongside each other in Vietnam with Sofitel Plaza Saigon and Sofitel Plaza Hanoi.

“The change in brand and management services will not affect our continued commitment to providing exceptional service to guests as well as performing our contractual responsibilities to our staff, suppliers, and of course, our guests,” said a spokesman of Hua Ye Xiamen Hotel.

The Hua Ye Xiamen Hotel will implement and reveal the new brand in due course. Sofitel is the only French luxury hotel brand with a presence on five continents, in more than 50 countries.  Sofitel offers contemporary hotels and resorts adapted to today’s more demanding and more versatile consumers who expect and appreciate beauty, quality and excellence.  Whether situated in the heart of a major city like Paris, New York, or Beijing, or nestled away in a country landscape in French Polynesia or Brazil, each Sofitel property offers a genuine experience of the French art de vivre.
