ALICE expands partnership with Nordic Choice Hotels to a Total of 130 Hotels using ALICE by Early 2020

The hospitality startup becomes Brand Standard for Nordic Choice Hotels’ four brands, Comfort Hotel, Quality Hotel, Clarion Hotel, and Clarion Collection.

NEW YORK – ALICE, the hotel operations platform that empowers operational excellence and meaningful guest experiences, is excited to announce that after a year and a half of successful collaboration, it has expanded its relationship with Nordic Choice Hotels to 130 hotels. Nordic Choice Hotels has also designated ALICE the brand standard operations tool for four Nordic Choice brands- Comfort Hotel®, Quality Hotel ™, Clarion Hotel®, and Clarion Collection. Nordic Choice Hotels is the Nordic and Baltic region master franchisee of Choice Hotels International and is well-recognized for their innovation.

With 130 properties using ALICE, Nordic Choice Hotels will be the biggest enterprise user of ALICE’s new Housekeeping software: ALICE Housekeeping. Nordic Choice has strategically selected specific hotels to launch the software in first, so that these properties can develop best practices for using the software across Nordic Choice’s different brands.

All Quality Hotel ™, Clarion Hotel®, and Clarion Collection hotel properties will be using both ALICE Suite and ALICE Housekeeping to unify guest and staff communication on a single platform, thereby eliminating operations silos and allowing for actionable communication. The ALICE Suite is comprised of products for guest satisfaction and operational excellence: including Chat/SMS, and software for Service Delivery, Maintenance, and Concierge & Guest services.

People see us as being a very innovative company when it comes to their travel,” said Nordic Choice’s Director of Future Business, Christian Lunden. “We monitor and develop what kind of areas we should develop in the future, so that we are not only making money on hotel rooms but also creating extraordinary experiences.”

ALICE has created several innovative product features and functionality in partnership with Nordic Choice. These include in-app chat using ALICE’s API, two-way communication for room status updates, vibrating alerts, and conversation assignment. This appetite for cutting-edge technology advancement led to Nordic Choice’s commitment to act as the beta hotel group for ALICE Housekeeping. As the beta hotel group, Nordic Choice is providing invaluable feedback to the ALICE Housekeeping MVP and simultaneously utilizing a powerful tool for efficient housekeeping in their hotels.

Since ALICE’s initial launch with Nordic Choice Hotels in May 2018, ALICE’s SMS and in-app chat have allowed several Nordic Choice Hotels to modernize and remove phones from guest rooms. ALICE has also helped improve staff to staff communication. Since January 2019, across 40 Nordic Choice hotels, 25% of tickets included internal notes – information that would have otherwise been undocumented, easy to forget radio chatter. Internal notes stay in the system, can be viewed by managers, and provide insight into the specifics of a request.

Regional brands and enterprise users have been some of the greatest contributors to new ALICE functionality, from preventative maintenance to portfolio management tools to group reporting and filtering,” says ALICE’s CEO, Justin Effron. “I’ve been inspired by our rapid growth in Europe, and I’m looking forward to further acceleration with Nordic Choice, a partner focused on leading technology to pioneer innovation within the hospitality industry.”
