Buoyed by impressive growth in Europe since its creation in 2007, the brand continues its rise and ventures outside Europe.
Aparthotels Adagio is putting down roots in Latin America, Brazil to be exact, simultaneously opening seven master franchise aparthotels. The brand plans to go further and expand that number to around 40 within three years.
The inauguration of an aparthotel in Sao Paulo on Thursday 5 December brought together journalists, Accor Brazil Vice-President Patrick Mendez, Aparthotels Adagio CEO Martine Balouka-Vallette, Product Process and Openings Director Etienne Mercier, and Sales, Pricing and Revenue Management Director Karim Malak.
Ms. Balouka-Vallette recalled how important Latin America is for the brand. “We want to accompany this growing market and be ready for the key events Brazil is gearing up to host, the 2016 Olympic Games and the 2014 World Cup,” she said. “We’re confident our Aparthotel Adagio product will meet expectations in Brazil, where this kind of accommodation is in very high demand.”
The brand’s seven new addresses in Brazil are in Sao Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba and Porto Alegre.
