Choice Hotels celebrates the grand opening of the new Cambria hotel & suites in its Hometown – Rockville, MD

New upscale hotel for business and leisure travelers celebrates with a vintage carnival.

ROCKVILLE, MD. – Choice Hotels International, Inc. celebrated the grand opening of the new Cambria hotel & suites Rockville at the Rockville Town Square. To introduce the community to the brand, the hotel celebrated in style by hosting a show-stopping vintage carnival, complete with a fire-juggler, aerial performances and more. Guests were also treated to exclusive hotel tours and mingled with key executives and community leaders, including City of Rockville Mayor Bridget Newton, Steve Joyce, President and CEO of Choice Hotels, Michael Murphy, Senior Vice President of Upscale Brands at Choice Hotels, and Marc Dubick, President of Duball, LLC.

Built by Duball, LLC with institutional capital partner CIM Group, and operated by Crescent Hotels & Resorts, Cambria hotel & suites Rockville sits at 1 Helen Heneghan Way, two blocks from the Rockville Metrorail station and steps from top restaurants, shops and a movie theatre. The property also sits directly across the street from the Choice Hotels International headquarters.

“At Cambria, we look to provide business and leisure travelers with stylish, affordable lodging with upscale service. What better way to introduce this rapidly-growing brand to the City of Rockville than with an exciting, carnival-themed celebration?” said Steve Joyce. “Rockville is our home, and Choice Hotels is thrilled to bring our Cambria hotels & suites brand to city residents and the guests of the more than 100 large companies in the area.”

The 140-room hotel spans eight floors of the 15-story west tower of the Rockville Town Square, one of two towers in the mixed-use high-rise complex. A parking garage is built into the building’s structure, giving guests a convenient place for parking and allowing all rooms to enjoy an exterior view. In addition to the Cambria hotel, the complex is also home to 40,000 square feet of street-level retail space.

“We’re excited to partner with Choice Hotels in opening Cambria hotel & suites Rockville, allowing us to not only provide lodging for the Rockville community and their guests, but also for travelers visiting Washington, D.C., just 15 miles away,” said Marc Dubick. “Rockville has a great and expansive history and we look forward to being part of the city’s future.”

Guests at the Cambria hotel & suites Rockville can enjoy a spacious lobby area with floor to ceiling glass, the bar-centric restaurant, Social Circle, and an indoor heated pool and fitness center.

Oversized guest rooms offer functional, chic decor, upscale linens, and plenty of room to work. Guests can stay connected while they travel via complimentary high-speed wireless internet and plenty of places to charge their devices. The Cambria hotel & suites Rockville will also showcase the latest offering for Cambria guests – the ability to stream content directly to their room TVs.

Business travelers will also be able to take advantage of three meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 106 people for banquets and conferences, all equipped with high-tech audio and visual equipment.

Additionally, like all Cambria hotels & suites, the Rockville property will feature other fine amenities such as freshly prepared grab-and-go gourmet salads and sandwiches; and a barista bar featuring artisan coffee.
