Choice Hotels International upgrades choiceADVANTAGE interface for franchisees

The upgrades to the choiceADVANTAGE system include new mobile-native interfaces for housekeeping and property managers.

ROCKVILLE, MD. – Choice Hotels International, Inc. announced that it has deployed a new, streamlined interface for its cloud-based hotel property management system, choiceADVANTAGE.

“The new choiceADVANTAGE system marries the intuitive design of its predecessor with a modern interface that has received an overwhelmingly positive response in usability studies and from the users who have previewed it,” said Todd Davis, chief information officer for Choice Hotels. “The choiceADVANTAGE system makeover is part of our continued commitment to adding value for our hotel owners by ensuring their properties have access to the best technology in the industry.”

The upgrades to the choiceADVANTAGE system include new mobile-native interfaces for housekeeping and property managers. Housekeepers at Choice properties can now use a smartphone to manage room assignments, report room status in real-time, and flag maintenance, inventory or other room needs. The reporting feature allows managers to keep tabs on the big-picture operations of the hotel without being tied to their desks.

As an above-property, Web-based solution, the choiceADVANTAGE system requires a minimal initial investment for hotel franchisees, since it eliminates the need to purchase, store and maintain the costly infrastructure and hardware typically associated with traditional property management systems. The system’s innovative features include efficient guest servicing, revenue management, complete groups functionality, remote access, and full integration with the company’s programs.

The new interface was developed for Choice by SkyTouch Technology, a division that develops and markets cloud-based technology products to help hoteliers industry-wide improve their efficiency and profitability.
