Fairmont Taghazout Bay unveils new Tapa Wine Bar

A tantalizing list of colourful, flavourful bites, influenced by the flavours of the world, where Spain, Morocco, Italy, Lebanon and even Turkey meet to offer an unusual but not improbable culinary experience.

TAGHAZOUT BAY – Lovers of small dishes to share? Head to the Tapa Wine Bar, in the heart of the Fairmont Taghazout Bay. A unique tapaseria where you can savour colourful and tasty bites with Iberian, Moroccan, Italian, Turkish or Lebanese accents. Notice to lovers of original and festive experiences.

At the Fairmont Taghazout Bay, not far from Agadir, where the newly opened Tapa Wine Bar is already shaping up to be the new hot spot for festive and convivial summer evenings. And that’s only natural since the refined, Mediterranean-flavoured dishes can be nibbled endlessly in this refined, waterfront setting (or almost), ideal for well-deserved afterworks and befores.

Francis Desjardins, the resort’s general manager, is responsible for the idea. “The success of the internationally known Japanese restaurant Le Morimito, as well as the culinary references offered at our other tables, prompted us to imagine a Mediterranean signature for the Tapa Wine Bar”, specifies this foodista who, with the Tapa Wine Bar, adds another gastronomic option to the resort.

And what’s on the menu? A tantalizing list of colourful, flavourful bites, influenced by the flavours of the world, where Spain, Morocco, Italy, Lebanon and even Turkey meet to offer an unusual but not improbable culinary experience. While each tapa rivals the others in creativity and modernity, there’s no question of sacrificing its culture of origin.

Behind the stoves, Executive Chef Georgiy Danilov and his team are at the helm. A champion of funky cuisine that’s as inspiring as it is inspired, the chef is committed to delivering sourced, responsible cuisine, which he describes as “indispensable these days”. Don’t miss: the crispy bruschetta with burrata, red onions and anchovies, the incredible moutabal with pistachio or the tasty polpo alla gallega with baby potatoes. All accompanied, of course, by a fine selection of world wines to sublimate each dish as it should be.
