InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn properties across the Middle East join forces this month for a dual sales drive in four countries aimed at boosting their corporate and leisure business.

Twelve Middle East hotels will be represented during a major roadshow to be staged between April 26 – May 4 in Saudi Arabia, where the event is being held under the auspices of the Saudi Tourism Board, as well as in the UAE, Bahrain and Qatar.

Also taking part in this event targeting travel and tour operators, as well as corporate clients, will be representatives of InterContinental Hotels Group properties in Europe, Africa and other parts of the Middle East.

The GCC area is a vitally important market for us, not just because we operate 30 hotels there, but also because of the potential for outbound business from the region, said Muin Serhan, Director of Global Sales, Middle East for InterContinental Hotels Group.

We`re looking to bring about a 25% increase in corporate business and a 7% increase in leisure business for our hotels in the region. At the same time, the team representing European, African and other Middle Eastern properties have an excellent opportunity to promote their hotels to the GCC travel trade and corporate market.

InterContinental Hotels Group will also celebrate one year of success following the launch of the dedicated Global Sales Team as well as the Middle East Central Reservations Office. This double initiative was set up to boost both outbound and domestic business by adding heavy weight sales and marketing support for the more than 3,300 hotels and resorts managed by InterContinental Hotels Group around the world.

Getting under way at the Crowne Plaza Jeddah on April 26, the road show continues at the InterContinental Riyadh, the Crowne Plaza Bahrain, the InterContinental Doha, InterContinental Abu Dhabi and finally, the InterContinental Dubai on May 3.
