Louvre Hotels Group selects the MICROS OPERA 9 Reservation System for its Tulip branded hotels

In addition, over 800 of these properties in 43 countries are already using the integrated property management functions of the OPERA Enterprise Solution.

COLUMBIA, MD. – MICROS Systems, Inc., a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, is pleased to announce that the Louvre Hotels Group has replaced its legacy reservation system in more than 220 of its Tulip branded hotels (Tulip Inn, Golden Tulip and Royal Tulip) with the MICROS OPERA 9 Reservation System (ORS), bringing all 1,100 Louvre Hotels Group properties into the global multi-property, SaaS-based (Software as a Service) OPERA Enterprise Solution for distribution. In addition, over 800 of these properties in 43 countries are already using the integrated property management functions of the OPERA Enterprise Solution.

The MICROS OPERA 9 platform centralizes bookings through all electronic distribution channels, including web booking, Global Distribution Systems (GDS), channel management, and voice service centers. MICROS created a totally customized user interface for Tulip reservation and revenue management associates, making the transition to the new reservation system effortless. With the addition of the Tulip branded hotels, the Louvre Hotel Group’s expanded MICROS ORS now supports over 3,000 users from all over the world.

“The MICROS OPERA Enterprise Solution has provided Louvre Hotels Group a superior technology platform on which to centralize our complete enterprise,” stated Thierry Guiraudios, CIO Louvre Hotels Group. “The addition of the Tulip branded hotels to the reservation system finally unifies all of our properties onto a single platform, allowing Louvre to more effectively manage its room inventory and distribution. MICROS OPERA 9 allows us to take advantage of next generation technologies that prepare us for the future.”

“Moving all our brands to a single reservation platform was a natural progression for us,” stated Chinmai Sharma, VP Revenue & Distribution of Louvre Hotels Group. “Micros is a trusted partner and they were able to deliver all the customized enhancements we had requested before deploying the Opera 9 platform for our Tulip branded hotels. We now have the benefit of streamlining our distribution operations, agile CRS enhancements, cross-sell functionality within brands and finally an easy ability to develop a more robust customer database.”

“We are pleased to expand and strengthen our partnership with the Louvre Hotels Group, and are thrilled that Louvre is taking advantage of our next generation OPERA 9 platform,” stated Kaweh Niroomand, President of MICROS EAME. “MICROS OPERA 9 is enabling our hotel clients to easily update their current OPERA Enterprise Solution with next generation technology and browser agnostic user interfaces, including mobile applications.”
