Garcia joins MSH after a long and successful career with Omni hotels.
DALLAS – Matthews Southwest (MSW) announced the appointment of Michael (Mike) A. Garcia as President of the newly formed organization, Matthews Southwest Hospitality (MSH), effective March 27, 2017.
Garcia joins MSH after a long and successful career with Omni hotels. He most recently served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Development Officer, where he led Omni's unprecedented growth in the resort and convention center hotel space since 2009. With his direct involvement, Omni has become known as having high quality properties and delivering award winning service. Garcia also worked closely with MSW on the highly recognized development of the Omni Dallas Hotel.
"I am extremely excited to join MSH to lead their hospitality efforts," Garcia said. "MSW already has several large hotel projects underway across the country and I look forward to working with the team to complete those projects. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Technical University of Athens and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales.
She has many years of both academic and industrial experience within the travel industry. She has written/edited numerous articles in various tourism magazines.
