New serviced apartment alliance launched – landmark moment for industry

The next stage in the evolution of the serviced apartment sector has been marked with the launch of The TAS Alliance.

UK – The next stage in the evolution of the serviced apartment sector has been marked with the launch of The TAS Alliance. The TAS Alliance is bringing together the best independently-owned and operated serviced apartments into a global network under a single representation, distribution, sales and marketing solution all powered by a common technology platform.

Joining the already successful brands owned and managed by Charlie McCrow, CEO of Roomspace & The Apartment Service, The new TAS Alliance will provide a 100% solution for buyers looking to build, add to, enhance or develop their serviced apartment programmes.

McCrow has recruited Jo Layton as MD Group Commercial Sales to spear head this new development, McCrow explains the rationale behind the venture;

“Operators joining the TAS Alliance will be expected to work co-operatively to generate solutions for buyers, and the TAS Alliance team will drive this. Our members will be required to meet exacting standards in accommodation, service, staff training and facilities. Member properties must also have robust and transparent reservation, cancellation and customer complaint handling procedures.”

Jo Layton, MD Group Commercial Sales says: “As the buying community becomes even more interested in delivering the serviced apartment option as part of their programmes, customers are at the same time demanding total connectivity. The TAS Alliance will give buyers access to a fully-connected supply chain to meet their serviced apartment and corporate housing needs globally.”

“To include serviced apartments into their RFPs, corporates need consistent products and processes, total connectivity and MI to capture their expenditure. They also want to be able to negotiate global rates centrally as part of this process. At the other end of the supply chain serviced apartment operators have to implement every aspect of travel policy, from traveller tracking to centralised booking and problem resolution.”

“The TAS Alliance will make this possible by delivering a secure and well managed ‘plug & play’ solution.”

“I am excited to have joined Charlie McCrow and his team at such a pivotal time in the company and look forward to making this venture a success with all involved” adds Layton.

McCrow believes that The Apartment Service is perfectly placed to launch the new Alliance.“We are renowned for our high quality service, expertise and distribution technology. Now we are marking the next stage in the evolution of serviced apartments by bringing a long-standing vision to life and truly creating a landmark moment in the world of serviced apartments.
