Novotel unveils its completely transformed “made in Broadway” hotel

The establishment’s innovative style is the work of design firm Stonehill & Taylor which aimed to create an electric, but resolutely welcoming atmosphere.

It only took nine months to completely revamp the emblematic Novotel New York Times Square. This address right in the heart of the city is a pillar in the brand’s expansion strategy.

The hotel has been completely metamorphosed after a dramatic renovation
And indeed, nothing has been left to chance to satisfy the brand’s business and leisure customers. From the magnificent new bathrooms to the warm welcome area, the new restaurant, Supernova, and the exclusive outdoor terrace with unparalleled views of Times Square, the hotel now boasts an impressive new look. The establishment’s innovative style is the work of design firm Stonehill & Taylor which aimed to create an electric, but resolutely welcoming atmosphere.

A symbol of Novotel’s dynamism and evolutive nature
Gregoire Champetier, Global Chief Marketing & Distribution Officer of Accor comments, “The metamorphosis of this property demonstrates Novotel’s ability to constantly reinvent itself. This French pioneer brand was born and raised with an audacious and innovative mindset. Nowadays, Novotel –and this iconic property in particular- keeps this spirit alive and continues to promote these values as a way of life.”

“We’re thrilled to debut the ‘new’ Novotel New York today. The revived look of the hotel, combined with Supernova restaurant and our stunning Terrace, offers locals and visitors alike a reason to create their own New York memories” adds Marc Sternagel, the hotel’s General Manager.

The inaugural celebration on September 19 was definitely a night to remember.  In this splendid decor, over 400 guests admired the hotel after speeches by Marc Sternagel, Gregoire Champetier and Didier Bosc, EVP and Chief Administrative Officer of Accor North America. Inspired by the ‘New Year at Times Square’ theme, guests enjoyed a flying dinner with a “taste of Supernova”, sipped delicious cocktails and Champagne served from aerial artists hanging from the ceiling, watched a breathtaking Cirque du Soleil like aerial performance followed by an impressive laser show and enjoyed private tours of some of the Novotel New York Times Square’s stunning new rooms. The evening was a resounding success.

“For Novotel, the story goes on!”
To support this ongoing and deep evolution process, Novotel combines its basics: creativity, sharing, functionality, international and robust quality standards with a sense of modernity and a reshaping of guests’ experiences.

Christine Ravanat, SVP Global Marketing Novotel & Suite Novotel adds “The story goes on! We are currently working on several original concepts which we’ll unveil in 2014. We’ll introduce a new F&B concept, present a strong design positioning, and put our new common spaces under the spotlight. An enthusiastic and tremendous year is on track at Novotel!”

The months ahead will definitely be full of opportunities for Novotel, which added some 15 new properties to its network this year notably in India, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and Russia.
