Radisson SAS Hotels and Resorts, part of the fast-growing Rezidor SAS Hospitality group, has announced the appointment of four new Sales and Marketing Directors at resorts across the region.

Yigit Sezgin has been assigned to the five-star Diplomat Radisson SAS in Bahrain and Louie Beck has taken up the role at the Radisson SAS Resort in Sharjah. Camille Geha has been appointed to Radisson SAS Martinez Hotel in Beirut and the Radisson SAS Hotel, Riyadh has announced Wissam El Hassanieh as its new Director of Sales and Marketing.

Sezgin arrives in Bahrain after three years at the Ritz-Carlton in Doha, Qatar. His appointment to the Diplomat comes during an exciting period in its development, as construction of the new 15-storey extension is due to be completed by the end of 2005.

“Yigit’s extensive familiarity with the Middle East and, in particular, to the corporate market, makes him an excellent choice for this new role,” said Craig Senior, Regional Director of Sales & Marketing, Rezidor SAS Hospitality Middle East.

Louie Beck returns to the UAE after an absence of four years during which time he worked in regions such as Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia. Beck began his career in the international hospitality industry in Syria and has since worked in America and Europe as well as the Middle East.

“My global experience of the hospitality industry is a great advantage. Working in three different continents in the past means I can bring that knowledge to bear in this exciting new challenge,” said Beck.

Camille Geha, a Lebanese national, joined Radisson SAS in 1997, and has held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing in a number of different resorts since 1999. Prior to this new position in Beirut, he spent over six years working in the Middle East before moving to the Radisson SAS Palais Hotel, Vienna.

“It’s great to be back in my home country and back in the Middle East where my career with Radisson SAS began,” Geha explained.

Wissam El Hassanieh has, to date, spent most of his career in the hospitality industry in the UAE, having worked in Dubai, Sharjah, Al Ain and Abu Dhabi. He has been instrumental in setting up a number of new hotels, and brings over eight years’ experience to his new role in Riyadh.

“Wissam has comprehensive knowledge of the industry and of the region, and we are sure he will enjoy this opportunity in a different part of the Middle East,” said Senior. “We look forward to everyone using and expanding on their unique skills and approaches in their new positions, and we wish them all the best.”
