Melissa Lipton joins team to oversee DC, Chicago markets.
MIRAMAR BEACH, FL. – Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, the #1 resort on Florida’s Emerald Coast, announced it is strengthening its business development team with the appointment of a key sales executive.
Melissa Lipton, CMP has joined the team as National Sales Manager to oversee the resort’s sales efforts inclusive of group rooms business in the Chicago and Midwest, and Washington DC/Virginia markets.
According to Dan Keyser, Executive Director – Resort Sales, Melissa brings significant experience and leadership to the resort. “Based in Chicago, Melissa will be a tremendous asset to our existing and new clients in these important markets. Her long track record of successful group stewardship, sales solicitation, meeting management, site inspections and account management in Northwest Florida and around the globe will serve our expanding client base well. Her experience with bringing corporate, association and incentive groups to the Emerald Coast is an outstanding addition to the Sandestin team.”
A Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) since 2007, Lipton brings more than 20 years of hospitality sales management to this position. She has served in roles spanning from Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager and Director of Group Sales for hotel and resort properties in the US Virgin Islands, Northwest Florida, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Chicago and Washington.
