Santorini hotel the latest Greek unit to join Starwood

Santorini`s Villa Vedema<.> hotel is the latest Greek hotel to earn the distinction of being named a member of the Starwood<.> hotel group`s Luxury Collection.

Already a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World group, the resort was built in 1993 and is one of the best on the Cycladic isle.

Starwood`s president in Europe, Roeland Vos, stated that the company is extremely happy to welcome the new member. The first Greek island hotel to take on the brandname was the Santa Marina on Mykonos.

Starwood aims to widen its European network and is taking a special interest in Greece.

The Luxury Collection comprises 57 hotels around the world, 31 of which are situated in Europe.
