Break the Ice Media & Travel Alliance Partners unite under one brand: Travel Alliance Partnership

TAP

Industry-leading organizations join forces with new branding, services and strategic mission.

ROCHESTER, NY – Break the Ice Media and Travel Alliance Partners have merged under one united brand: Travel Alliance Partnership (TAP). After operating under the same leadership since 2021, the two entities have come together in a strategic transformation that reflects the organizations’ commitment to fostering collaborative partnerships that contribute to growth and prosperity within the travel, tourism and hospitality industry.

Since its inception in 2009, woman-owned Break the Ice Media has delivered innovative and effective public relations and marketing solutions for clients in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry. In 2021, the award-winning agency acquired Travel Alliance Partners, a collective of tour operators, travel suppliers and travel buyers working collaboratively to build and promote travel products across the globe.

This acquisition was part of a strategic plan between the organizations to build an international community of small- to mid-size destinations and tourism and hospitality businesses seeking industry thought-leadership, innovation, and collaborative spirit.

“Since starting Break the Ice Media in 2009, I have firmly believed that the travel, tourism and hospitality industry was strongest through collaboration,” said Nicole Mahoney, President & CEO of Travel Alliance Partnership and Host of the Destination on the Left Podcast. “We operated under this mindset when acquiring Travel Alliance Partners, understanding that the two entities provided valuable benefits to common audiences: tour operators, destinations, attractions and more. It has been a natural evolution to combine efforts to provide services that strengthen the ties within our travel community.”

Travel Alliance Partnership represents a new chapter, embodying its dedication to forming strategic alliances that will drive mutual success for clients and tourism industry partners alike. Operating under the belief that tourism isn’t just about visiting new places – but about transforming entire regions – Travel Alliance Partnership will offer strategic growth services, innovative promotional campaigns, membership programs, industry events, educational and learning tools that help travel, tourism and hospitality organizations attract the resources they need to grow and thrive.

Key highlights of the rebrand:

  • Collaborative Approach: Travel Alliance Partnership will continue to leverage its expertise in public relations and marketing while placing a stronger emphasis on collaborative efforts within the travel industry. The agency aims to unite stakeholders and create synergies that propel the industry forward.
  • Expanded Services: With the rebrand, Travel Alliance Partnership is introducing expanded services designed to meet the evolving needs of clients in the dynamic travel landscape. This includes enhanced digital marketing strategies, increased client engagement, and membership programs for tour operators and destinations.
  • Global Reach: As a fully remote team, Travel Alliance Partnership is geared towards expanding its reach globally. The agency aspires to be a key player in fostering international collaborations that promote tourism and elevate the travel experience.
  • New Visual Identity: The rebrand comes with a fresh visual identity, including a new logo and updated brand that reflects the organization’s commitment to unity and partnership. The design elements embody the spirit of collaboration and a shared journey towards success.

“We are excited to embark on this transformative journey as one company, Travel Alliance Partnership,” said Rhonda Carges, Executive Vice President of Operations. “We look forward to continuing our mission of delivering exceptional results for our community and contributing to the growth and success of the travel industry.”
