IPK International, one of the research organisations and consultancies in the tourism sector will present an analysis of 2005 market trends for the first time at the ITB Berlin 2006, as well as 2006 forecasts for all the key tourism markets. The ITB World Travel Trend Report will be presented exclusively and for the first time at the ITB Convention Market Trends & Innovations on 10 March 2006. The extensive data will provide a detailed basis for gauging market trends. The press service by the ITB Berlin 2006 will issue brief reports on the most important trends in the run up to this year’s fair.

The 45 pages of the ITB World Travel Trend Report summarise the results of the latest investigations by leading researchers examining the tourism markets all over the world. The Pisa Forum is unique in taking a comprehensive approach. Not only does it look at individual travel demand where source countries and destinations are concerned, it also monitors all the important source and destination markets as a whole. In view of global demand for tourism becoming increasingly dynamic this type of approach is gaining more and more relevance. The IPK Pisa Forum has developed into an annual think tank of the global travel sector, involving market research institutes and NGOs, among them DK Shifflet & Associates, GfK Marktforschung, TheFutureKitchen, the World Tourism Organization (WTO), the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), and the European Travel Commission (ETC).
