Six new members announced as Westminster Venue Collection sees record growth

Driving the new members growth is a surge in enquiry activity for the Westminster Venue Collection, including a tripling of web-based opportunities since November.

Westminster Venue Collection has welcomed six new members to its portfolio, bringing the membership of the exclusive group of central London venues to 32.

The new members are:

  • Abbey Road Studios
  • Asia House
  • Lumiere London’s The Embassy
  • One Birdcage Walk
  • Royal College of Music
  • Great Scotland Yard

The Westminster Venue Collection, which includes some of London’s finest event spaces, helps organisers explore, shortlist, and compare member venues, ensuring their needs are met through the provision of the most relevant venue solution. In turn, this not only saves time, it also allows for the creation of more in-depth relationships between the buyer and supplier sides of the industry.

Driving the new members growth is a surge in enquiry activity for the Westminster Venue Collection, including a tripling of web-based opportunities since November.

“Westminster Venue Collection provides a vital link between buyers and suppliers, saving them time, whilst showcasing the best Westminster has to offer as a destination,” comments Barbara Wutte, WVC Chair. “Membership growth ensures our offering continues to be relevant and diverse, meeting the needs for all organisers and all event types – whether it is an intimate gathering for a party or a congress for thousands.”

Christine Milburn-Philpott from One Birdcage Walk comments on the venue’s desire to return to the growing Collection, “We are so thrilled to be re-joining Westminster Venue Collection. We are seeing the Collection go from strength to strength, it is a vital part of our marketing and sales activity moving forward and we look forward to the positive impact it will have on our business.”

As well as providing member visibility on its busy website, WVC also provides a wide variety of other benefits for its member, acting as the destination’s hub for sales activity and referrals between the venues. “Representation across the Westminster Venues Collection platform and wider offering provide key opportunities for business and I am particularly looking forward to being a part of the referral network, which has historically been so successful for the membership,” says Philip Woodford-Smith from Asia House.

WVC is an exclusive group of venues, chosen on their merit, client feedback and standing within the industry. This ensures buyers can trust that each and every one of its members will deliver to the highest level through competent and professional staff, dedicated to client success. Samantha Rosenthal from Abbey Road Studios cites this as one of the reasons Abbey Road wanted to join: “We are thrilled to join the Westminster Collection and be a part of a leading group of iconic London venues, renowned for their quality and excellence. It is not about being a part of any group – it is about being part of the right group.”

Yet another benefit to both clients and members are the regular showcase event held by The Westminster Collection. “These bring the community together, provide opportunities to build relationships and demonstrate just how supportive and collaborative the Collection is,” concludes Nicky Francis from Lumiere London.
