A digital tourism think tank for DMOs who want to create a more innovative and competitive tourism industry

The concept of the Think Tank is simple: knowledge sharing and best practice in digital, with DMOs working together to create a more innovative and competitive tourism industry.

The Digital Tourism Think Tank, an exciting new digital initiative for the tourism industry is being launched to provide a platform for knowledge sharing and the exchange of best practice in digital tourism marketing.

CEOs, Marketing Managers and E-Marketing Managers from Destination Marketing Organisations (DMOs) around the world can now visit to the new platform www.thinkdigital.travel and access a rich library of content on digital marketing practice.

The thinkdigital.travel platform is part of a running programme of industry facing activities, offered as part of the Digital Tourism Think Tank, which includes feature interviews with leading industry figures, in-depth case studies, events, workshops and a digital tourism brand index. The initiative aims to provide a comprehensive knowledge resource for the tourism industry that responds to the unique needs of DMOs in branding and creating awareness of destinations in the digital landscape.

Founder of the Think Tank and former Executive Director of the European Travel Commission, Nick Hall, believes passionately in the need for such a platform. “Several years spent working with Europe’s National Tourism Organisations highlighted the ongoing need to showcase innovation in digital and to connect tourism marketers through knowledge exchange”.
