Egencia and International SOS expand their traveller security partnership

This new three-year commitment provides Egencia sales and account management teams with tools to accompany customers contracting with International SOS, and enjoy a seamless on-boarding experience for its best-in-class security services.

LONDON – Egencia the business travel company of Expedia, Inc., announces the beginning of a new phase in its relationship with a leading medical and travel security risk services company, International SOS. The companies expanded their partnership agreement to better assist Egencia customers in acquiring the traveller security services of International SOS.

This new three-year commitment provides Egencia sales and account management teams with tools to accompany customers contracting with International SOS, and enjoy a seamless on-boarding experience for its best-in-class security services.

“Unpredictable events can create risk for business travellers around the world. Our clients and travellers want access to experts aided by technology solutions to help keep them safe. This new era of our relationship with International SOS will improve our travellers’ experience and allow their companies to more effectively fulfil their duty of care responsibilities,” says Rob Greyber, president of Egencia.

Egencia has worked with International SOS, a global leader in traveller security, for many years by providing a direct data feed to International SOS that sends comprehensive and accurate traveller itinerary information to the security services company. This information helps International SOS monitor the movements of travellers – a necessary step for providing integrated medical assistance, international healthcare, security services and online travel risk mitigation solutions.

“We have been very happy with the security and safety support provided by Egencia and International SOS. The ability to automatically provide our staff and consultants with important security and medical information prior to their travel helps us fulfil our duty of care obligation. At the same time, the system allows our senior management to proactively track travellers and respond immediately in the event of a crisis or incident. I would recommend the platform without reservation,” says Ian O’Brien, deputy director, operations of International Development and Exchange Programmes at World Learning.

Commenting on the partnership, Wendy Stachowiak, vice president of Travel Industry Relations at International SOS says, “I am thrilled that Egencia has joined the International SOS Travel Partnership programme. Egencia and International SOS will build on and expand their current shared client base and continue to create strong value for our mutual clients.”
