Greek ferry tickets are set to go up by 10% following approval of proposed increases by the country`s coastal transport advisory committee.
The rise, which must be signed by Merchant Marine Minister Christos Papoutsis before being implemented, will apply to tickets for passengers and vehicles travelling on ferries and other vessels.
Shipping companies stated the increase was necessary in view of the rising costs brought about by the jump in oil prices of recent months.
