Twickenham Experience has become the latest venue to sign up to the 2012 UK Events Industry Fair Pricing & Practice Charter created by tourism bodies Visit London and VisitBritain. Following criticisms over cost that previous host cities have faced, signees to the voluntary charter agree to abide by a ‘fair price’ policy during the Olympics. In signing the charter, Twickenham is keen to highlight its expertise and facilities to those businesses who will visit London as part of 2012, as well as its commitment to value.
“The Olympics represent a fantastic opportunity for the events industry and for the UK as a whole,” commented Chris Morris, Managing Director of Twickenham Experience. “As a sporting venue we understand the importance of aligning ourselves with the charter and to be part of creating a positive Olympic legacy.” Morris adds.
“Twickenham Stadium is a key venue to have signed up to the 2012 UK Events Industry Fair Pricing & Practice Charter. Twickenham Experience is a key events venue for London, which appeals to both sporting and business audiences and we are delighted to have them as a signatory,” commented Tracey Halliwell, Director of Business Tourism for Visit London.
