Visit London has agreed a Strategic Partnership

Visit London has agreed a Strategic Partnership  with Meetings Professionals International (MPI) UK Chapter. The partnership is built on the joint aspirations of the two organisations to develop and add value to the UK meetings industry.

Commenting on the agreement, David Hornby, Commercial Director of Visit London said, “We are fully supportive of MPI UK’s focus on education, which remains the most productive way of selling this valuable industry. The UK’s meetings product is amongst the best in the world and of enormous significance; contributing £10billion per annum to the UK economy. London has a unique role to play with 55% of association and 48% of corporate meetings taking place in the capital*.

“In addition to the beneficial exposure this partnership will deliver, we will also receive a host of opportunities for our sales and marketing function to reach and interact with corporate suppliers,” added Shahnaz Cola, UK Sales Manager at Visit London. “Through this relationship our aim is to encourage buyers to recognise the quality and diversity of the UK meetings industry and in particular the role of London.”

As part of the agreement, Visit London will receive branding on MPI Chapter stationery, awards, website, exhibitions and within the MPI Membership Directory. Gary England, President MPI UK Chapter, commented, “Working with Visit London is a key part of our strategy to deliver benefits to our members.
