Nannak Technologies’ product, inTRANSIT, the world’s first and only online social networking platform exclusively for travelers, is all set to launch at 100 airports across the globe, in the next few weeks.
The multi-purpose mobile app facilitates the air travelers with a wide range of services right from being a micro social networking tool aimed at connecting like-minded people at airports, to providing the travelers with duty free promotions and deals. Whether it’s catching up with a co-traveler for a cup of coffee or shopping for your loved ones at the airport, or learning more about your destination, with inTRANSIT, flying will never be the same!
Gone are the days when people used to restrict shopping in airports to buy a last minute souvenir for a friend or grab a T-shirt for emergency when a traveler and his luggage end up in two different destinations. Gone are also the days when a family spent days and hours together planning their travel itinerary – more and more travelers are taking it the free and easy back-packing way these days. With such changing traveler behavior, increases the competition among the merchants, to attract the airport customers.
inTRANSIT suite of products also includes a platform for the retailers in and around airport as well as in the whole of travel industry to showcase their products and services to potential customers. inTRANSIT provides the retailers with the opportunity to target the key demographic of their customer base- Air travellers.
Here’s what Vig, the Managing Director of Nannak Technologies has to say “Facebook, Twitter and Google Adwords are great avenues for retailers to spread the word and raise brand awareness – but the immediate problem that retailers face is not the number of likes or re-tweets they receive – it’s getting the relevant customers to walk into their store. At airports, retailers have the perfect opportunity to influence this behaviour – the customers are all already there, and they are looking for something to do!
And as a travel service provider who are not at airports, inTRANSIT serves as an online travel desk present at airports for them to showcase their services, increase the demand for their products among customers who are already at the destination & are looking for places to visit”.
The end user app is currently in its final stages of development and testing and is expected to be made available on both iOS and Android Smartphone devices in the next few weeks. Further releases for Windows and tablets are expected in the following months.
