Prestige Holidays adds nine hotels in Canaries and Madeira for winter 2016/17

In response to the positive renaissance in these destinations, Prestige Holidays has introduced four new hotel options for Tenerife, three to Madeira and one each for Lanzarote and Gran Canaria.

Prestige Holidays has revealed its collection of winter breaks in the Canaries and Madeira with the addition of nine hotels.

David Skillicorn, General Manager for Prestige Holidays, comments "The Canaries and Madeira are two of our stand-out destinations for 2016, and their popularity looks set to continue into the winter as clients move back to trusted and familiar destinations.  With demand high, the key is to book early and make the most of our offers.

In response to the positive renaissance in these destinations, Prestige Holidays has introduced four new hotel options for Tenerife, three to Madeira and one each for Lanzarote and Gran Canaria.  Early booking incentives apply to many of the properties, with considerable per person savings for bookings made before 31 October 2016.

Temperatures across these destinations are a comfortable 20C+ during the winter months, so clients can be guaranteed some beach or poolside relaxation; but also make the most of the islands’ subtropical scenery, with lush mountain walks and garden visits.

The Tenerife additions are largely located within the upmarket Costa Adeje on the Southern Coast, these include the five-star Baobab Suites, a sleek, all-white luxury apartment complex, which is set back from the beach atop a hill, with lots of natural light and great sea views.

For those keen to take advantage of the island’s excellent golfing facilities, the luxury tour operator has added two new five-star golf friendly options: the Hotel Suite Villa Maria, which is part of the Costa Adeje Golf and next to the scenic Los Lagos course; plus the Sandos San Blas Nature Resort and Golf – an all-inclusive resort which sits in a nature reserve close to the sea.

In Gran Canaria, the four-star Costa Canaria in San Agustin makes an entrance. This adult’s only hotel is situated right on the seafront at San Agustin and features a wonderful outdoor pool area as well as spa, plus plenty of sporting activities and restaurant.

On the Southern coast of Lanzarote, in a residential area of Puerto del Carmen, the operator has added La Isla y el Mar. This property opened last year and has already won sustainability awards.  Featuring 81 suites it epitomises modern design with its low rise, clean lines and minimalist-style rooms.

Prestige Holidays has also added hotels on the sub-tropical ‘floating garden’ of Madeira, including two new Funchal properties. The four-star Castanheiro Boutique Hotel in the heart of Funchal comes complete with an infinity roof-top pool and is perfect for history buffs as it comprises five beautifully restored historic town houses linked by inner courtyards.

Also new is the Porto Mare, which borders the seafront promenade, this is a gardener’s delight and boasts an orchid and medicinal herb garden – central to the hotel’s weekly guided garden tour.  There’s also a new luxury villa and apartment option at Palheiro Village, which benefits from the gourmet dining, golf and spa, available at the nearby Casa Velha do Palherio, an opulent Relais & Châteaux hotel.

Holidaymakers wanting to maximise their Madeira experience can choose from a number of fly-drive itineraries combining some of the smaller ‘Quinta’ hotels around the island with a stay in the capital, Funchal.
