Ryanair to create over 3,500 new jobs in 2017 as new aircraft deliveries boost fleet number

A range of new positions will also be created in IT, Sales & Marketing, Digital Experience, Finance and Commercial at Ryanair’s Dublin office, and also at its Travel Labs Poland subsidiary in Wroclaw.

Ryanair announced that it is to launch a major recruitment drive as it plans to take delivery of 50 new aircraft in the next 12 months.

Ryanair announced that it will be hiring 2,000 new cabin crew, 1,000 pilots and 250 aircraft engineers, as well as promoting over 300 First Officers on its command upgrade programme across its 84-base European network.

A range of new positions will also be created in IT, Sales & Marketing, Digital Experience, Finance and Commercial at Ryanair’s Dublin office, and also at its Travel Labs Poland subsidiary in Wroclaw.

Eddie Wilson, Ryanair’s Chief People Officer said: “2017 is set to be our busiest recruitment year to date, and we are continuing to invest heavily in talent for the future. Ryanair is now considered to be the ‘go-to’ airline for both cadet and direct entry hires, with our industry leading 5/4 roster for pilots, and both pilots and cabin crew have the opportunity to work on the youngest fleet in Europe as we take delivery of our new Boeing aircraft.

Ryanair launches Cologne summer 2017 schendule
Ryanair launched its Cologne summer schedule (2017), with a new summer service to Sofia and 21 routes in total, which will deliver 2.3m customers p.a. and support 1,800* jobs at Cologne Airport.

Ryanair’s Cologne summer schedule will see 21 routes including sun services to Corfu, Faro and Malaga, lower fares as Ryanair passes on lower fuel costs, and an even better customer experience, as it rolls out year 3 of its “Always Getting Better” customer experience programme, and will deliver:

  • 1 new summer service to Sofia (4 weekly)
  • 21 routes in total (including Berlin x 5 daily)
  • 137 weekly flights
  • 2.3m customers p.a.

Ryanair is the ideal choice for business and leisure customers, who can now book their flights to/from Cologne up to October 2017, choosing from 21 routes in summer 2017, on the lowest fares.

Finally, Ryanair launched its biggest ever Hamburg summer schedule (2017), with 2 new routes to Faro and Thessaloniki, 7 new summer services to Brussels, Dublin, Gran Canaria, London, Manchester, Milan and Sofia (16 routes in total) and extra flights to Palma, which will deliver 1.7m customers p.a. and support 1,300* jobs at Hamburg Airport, as Ryanair grows its Hamburg operations by 180%.

Ryanair’s Hamburg summer schedule will see more frequencies to sun destinations, lower fares as Ryanair passes on lower fuel costs, and an even better customer experience, as it rolls out year 3 of its “Always Getting Better” customer experience programme, and will deliver:

  • 2 based aircraft ($200m investment)
  • 2 new routes: Faro (3 wkly) & Thessaloniki (3 wkly)
  • 7 new summer services: Brussels (2 dly), Dublin (5 wkly), Gran Canaria (2 wkly), London S (2 dly), Manchester (dly), Milan Bergamo (dly) & Sofia (2 wkly)
  • Extra flights to Palma (2 dly)
  • 16 routes in total
  • 95 weekly flights
  • 1.7m customers p.a.

Ryanair’s new Hamburg base will open on 2nd November, as it continues to grow German traffic, tourism and jobs, making Ryanair the ideal choice for business and leisure customers, who can now book their flights to/from Hamburg up to October 2017, on the lowest fares.
