Ryanair celebrated the launch of 6 new winter routes from Belfast International Airport. The inaugural flight to Krakow took to the sky on Sunday, Lanzarote, Tenerife and Wroclaw take off today, with Gdansk and Warsaw both starting on Tuesday. This is in addition to 4 new winter routes to Alicante, Berlin, Malaga and Milan, which began in September and October.

Ryanair’s Director of Route Development, Kate Sherry said: “We are pleased to launch our 6 new routes from Belfast International to Gdansk, Krakow, Lanzarote, Tenerife, Warsaw and Wroclaw, in addition to Alicante, Berlin, Malaga and Milan, which started in September and October.

Belfast International Airport’s Business Development Director, Uel Hoey said: “The launch of these four routes into Poland will deliver a comprehensive network into this very important market from Northern Ireland. The addition of Lanzarote and Tenerife services, as well as the recent announcement of both Girona and Faro routes, will give local holidaymakers more choice direct from their local airport.”
Ryanair October Traffic Grows 13% to 10.9m. Customers
Ryanair also released October traffic statistics as follows:
- Traffic grew 13% to 10.9m customers.
- Load factor rose 1% point to 95%
- Rolling annual traffic to Oct grew 16% to 114.4m customers.
Ryanair’s Kenny Jacobs said: “Ryanair’s October traffic grew by 13% to 10.9m customers, while our load factor jumped 1% point to 95%, on the back of lower fares and the continuing success of our “Always Getting Better” customer experience programme.
