Take the whole family on holiday

Travel experts say the key to getting it right and finding the perfect holiday is considering the needs of everyone. Whether your chosen property is suitable for children and the elderly, what the weather will be like and the value of the pound are also questions that should be asked.

Nearly half of Britons choose to travel with their extended family at least once a year, according to a survey by leading UK holiday rentals company HomeAway.co.uk. Three quarters of those travelling in large family groups say it gives them the chance to spend much-needed quality time together.

Travel experts say the key to getting it right and finding the perfect holiday is considering the needs of everyone. Whether your chosen property is suitable for children and the elderly, what the weather will be like and the value of the pound are also questions that should be asked. It’s also a good idea to think about the number of bedrooms and bathrooms needed, whether there is air conditioning, if there is a garden and pool as well as how close it is to local transport links and shops.

Erica Chang, Regional Director for HomeAway.co.uk, said, “If you decide to travel with extended families, renting a holiday home with HomeAway.co.uk is the perfect solution as we offer a wide range of accommodation that works brilliantly for everyone. You can choose where you stay, how many bedrooms there are, whether you need an annex or multiple apartments, which facilities are a must and find a property that ticks all the boxes within the budget.”

She added, “By choosing a holiday rental property, you can have access to all the mod cons expected from a hotel but for a much more reasonable cost and with more flexibility. As well as spending some much-needed precious time together everyone can share babysitting duties and the cost of the holiday too.”
