ADDISON, TX – The appointment of a dynamic new Chairwoman and the steadfast leadership of continuing board members has the DMC Network prepared for an exciting year.
It is with an abundance of gratitude that the DMC Network thanks departing Past Chairwoman, Nicole Marsh, CMP, DMCP, Partner, AXS Group, Colorado, for her leadership, expertise and time over the past 6 years. Her presence on the Board of Managers will be greatly missed and the DMC Network looks forward to her continued involvement and guidance.

Cynthia Alford, DMCP (Chairwoman) – Cynthia is the Co-Founder and President of Destination South Meeting & Events in Atlanta, Georgia. Under her leadership, Destination South Meeting & Events has garnered distinctive industry recognition with multiple Allie, Esprit and ADMEI Awards. With more than 30 years of hospitality experience, Cynthia is a recognized leader within the community of Atlanta and is a highly sought after speaker and facilitator nationwide. Cynthia enjoys giving back to the industry through volunteering and supporting non-profits.
Shannon Gardner, DMCP (Past Chairwoman) – Shannon has been the owner and President of Accent Indy, in Indianapolis, Indiana since 2007. Shannon earned her Destination Management Certification Professional (DMCP) in March of 2011, making Accent Indy the only company in Indiana with this accreditation. As a hospitality veteran, Shannon is known for her original ideas, her ambitious personality and flair for planning. Shannon is an active member of her community and sits on various leadership committees throughout Indianapolis.
Matt Cuevas (Chairman-Elect) – Matt currently serves as the CEO of Cappa & Graham based in San Francisco, California. He is the third generation of family ownership with Cappa & Graham and brings with him an extensive knowledge of events, logistics and financial expertise. Matt's impressive corporate background gives him the insight and knowledge into what it takes to successfully nurture a company.
Joanne Ferguson-Twiste, CMP, DMCP – Joanne is the third generation of the Ferguson family to serve as President of Puerto Rico's first destination management company, Destination Puerto Rico. In 2002 Joanne earned her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation and became the first person in Puerto Rico to obtain her Destination Management Certification Professional (DMCP). As a member of ADMEI, SITE, MPI and FICP, Joanne has continued the family tradition of actively participating in and contributing to local, national and international industry organizations.
Kathy Landry, DMCP – Kathy is the President and Owner of Destination Partners, Inc. (DPI) in Boston, Massachusetts. With over 20 years of hospitality experience, Kathy has a passion for the event industry. Her enthusiasm for success is evident through her speaking engagements, workshops and industry association involvement. Kathy was awarded the Brava CEO of the Year in Boston for 2016 by Smart CEO magazine along with having DPI, Inc. named one of the Future 50 Top Companies to Watch in Growth. Kathy sits on the New England planning committee for the SITE northeast chapter.
Sunny Irvine – Sunny is the Managing Partner of Terramar and operates two offices in Mexico and one in Panama. Sunny was born and raised in Mexico and grew up in the hospitality industry. Along with an amazing team, Sunny has been able to solidify the brand of Terramar and grow it into what it is today. Terramar is one of only two accredited DMCs in Mexico and the only one in Panama. Sunny continually strives to think outside of the box and has a unique perspective on the hospitality industry.
Debbie Ibey – Debbie is the Owner and Vice President of Sales of Arrangements Unlimited in San Diego, California. With over 20 years of Destination Management experience both in sales and operations, Debbie has an impressive reputation and is recognized for her knowledge of current industry trends and changing dynamics within her community of peers. Based on the operational excellence she provides, combined with her personal approach to Destination Management, Debbie has earned respect industry wide.
Vicky is the co-founder of TravelDailyNews Media Network where she is the Editor-in Chief. She is also responsible for the daily operation and the financial policy. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Technical University of Athens and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales.
She has many years of both academic and industrial experience within the travel industry. She has written/edited numerous articles in various tourism magazines.
