Many events have been scheduled: among the others, the debut of Costa Rica, a country committed to being “plastic free” by 2021, the testimony of Michil Costa and the proposals for cycling tourism. The exhibition organized by Italian Exhibition Group scheduled at the Rimini expo centre from October 9th to 11th.
RIMINI – Reduction of emissions, environmental protection and climate change are a priority for 77% of Italians, who ask for precise measures, according to an Ipsos survey. A revolution that is going through all sectors and that represents a decisive innovative factor for tourism.
The 56th edition of TTG Travel Experience, the main marketplace for tourism supply and demand branded Italian Exhibition Group (9-11 October 2019, Rimini Expo centre), with its full program of conferences and events strongly tuned to future trends, will focus the spotlight on environmental sustainability. It is in fact increasingly important to make sector entrepreneurs aware of the importance of developing increasingly environmentally-friendly product strategies. For this National Geographic will be present at TTG Travel Experience with its "Planet or Plastic?" Campaign aimed at raising public awareness of the environmental emergency caused by the growing use of disposable plastics and with an installation at the main entrance of the Rimini Expo Center and a conference dedicated to the theme.
The green themes will also be well present in the extensive Think Future program, a title that frames the schedule consisting of over 300 debates, seminars, meetings to plan the future of tourism and hospitality and which will be held in 9 arenas located in the pavilions trade shows that from the 9th to the 11th will also host at the same time as TTG SIA Hospitality Design (national reference event for the hospitality sector) and SUN Beach & Outdoor Style (international exhibition dedicated to the sector and the world of camping & village show).
Spotlights on eco-sustainable tourism development policies also in conferences organized by Enit, FAI and Sentinelle del Mare.
Environmental sustainability will characterize the offers of the different countries that choose TTG as a commercial showcase also in terms of destinations. Among the new entry destinations there is, for example, Costa Rica, a country committed to being a "plastic free" destination by 2021.
Within the special project Be active, focus chosen by TTG Travel Experience 2019 which will be a space for contents and proposals linked to the active holiday, the theme of cycling will also be central, a form of eco-compatible tourism par excellence and a segment that in Europe is worth around at 40 billion euros. The member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Environment and Bicycle Federation will present a survey on the new evolution of cycling demand in Italy.
In regards to hotellerie, the eclectic entrepreneur Michil Costa, President of the Dolomites Marathon which annually recalls over 30,000 aspiring athletes, will give a concrete testimony of how environmental choices can be put into practice: from the choice of menus to territorial policies.
