Despite recent nationally publicized reports that tell a gloomy story of Sedona’s weather situation, the Sedona Chamber of Commerce announces that Sedona is open for business. At this time, there is no evidence of water damage to businesses near the creek or elsewhere in Sedona. All major highways and roads leading to and from Sedona are open and accessible and Sedona businesses are operating under normal business hours.

“Although the City of Sedona is working with residents in flood prone areas to help protect their property, Sedona shops, hotels and service providers are open for business and working hard to ensure an enjoyable getaway for visitors,” says Joel Gilgoff, Chairman of the board of Directors for the Sedona-Oak Creek Canyon Chamber of Commerce.

Regardless of the last few days of rain, there is still plenty to do and enjoy in the Sedona area. “The current rain will help Arizona’s long-term drought condition and will produce a Spring full of wildflowers and greenery,” say Gilgoff. Visitors can enjoy a day hiking and jeeping to majestic sites, shopping in local galleries and relaxing and rejuvenating at one of the many spas. Visitors can complete their day with a romantic dinner featuring exotic southwest fare such as rattlesnake, prickly pear cactus and delicious margaritas.
