BCD Travel transforms guest travel management with BCD Invite

New solution simplifies inefficient manual processes for managing unprofiled travelers.

UTRECHT, THE NETHERLANDS – BCD Travel announced the launch of a global guest travel management solution, BCD Invite. The digital tool is designed to simplify the time-consuming process of managing guest or “unprofiled” travelers in a program.

“The majority of BCD customers manage a significant volume of unprofiled travelers, particularly our Media & Entertainment and Life Sciences customers,” said Yannis Karmis, senior vice president of Product Planning and Development at BCD Travel. “BCD Invite delivers a simple, secure, and configurable solution that saves time for travel arrangers and applies their policies while giving travelers a modern shopping and booking experience with no red tape. In the future, arrangers will be able to ‘invite’ both profiled and unprofiled meeting attendees to a specific event with custom booking parameters. This will vastly simplify group travel management for organizations.

The proprietary technology works alongside the BCD platform, integrating program policy, authorization and duty of care for seamless trip management. Managers can easily add travelers, create temporary profiles, track booking status and stay connected to travelers throughout the trip. In just a few clicks, the travel manager or designated arranger can set event types, configure rules and invite attendees.

Key benefits of BCD Invite:
  • Flexible: Profiles are created in real-time and sync with the preferred booking tool regardless of GDS or market.
  • Secure: Profiles are created with an expiration date ensuring they automatically deactivate from all booking tools for better security management.
  • Digital: Trip request details are managed electronically to improve the travel management experience for event participants, arrangers and agents.
