GIATA partners with dnata Travel Group to provide enhanced hotel mapping for global travel customers

Through the implementation of GIATA’s MultiCodes, the dnata Travel Group will benefit from the efficiency of using a standard for hotel information, offering a clear set of options for travel customers.

BERLIN – Berlin-based hotel content database, GIATA, is partnering with Dubai-based dnata Travel Group to enhance its hotel mapping power for global travel customers.

GIATA provides data and distribution solutions for hotels, travel agencies and OTA’s in more than 80 countries, to analyze hotel data, standardize it, and remove unnecessary duplicates for a smooth and quick process.

Part of the Emirates Group, dnata provides comprehensive air and travel services for individuals and companies across 38 countries. Through the implementation of GIATA’s MultiCodes, the dnata Travel Group will benefit from the efficiency of using a standard for hotel information, offering a clear set of options for travel customers.

Rainer Schäfer, VP Sales of GIATA, commented: “For every travel company, it’s important to boost conversions, average booking values and margin. We are constantly striving for a world-class mapping solution which increases accuracy, and significantly reduces the amount of time spent managing hotel information. Therefore, we are excited for this new global partnership with the dnata Travel Group.”

GIATA’s hotel mapping groups together properties to avoid inconsistent duplication in listings and enable a fast and smooth search. The solution represents a major benefit for global travel businesses with specific reference to improved clarity for customers, search of lower rates which can increase conversions, and the prioritization of best offers.

Sébastien Doussin, Divisional Vice President – Global Ground Services & Destination Management at dnata Travel Group, commented: “Our global travel businesses represent all aspects of the travel industry from leisure to corporate, attractions, airline representation services and more – and we are consistently seeking new ways to improve customer-facing and back-end experiences. We are experts in providing best offers to destinations in the UAE and the Indian Ocean as an example, where five-star, all-inclusive resorts are frequently sought-after. Working with GIATA will enable our travel partners to search for and select appropriate products for their customers more quickly and accurately than before.”
