SNCM selects Seaware

Versonix Inc. is pleased to announce that SNCM, one of the most established ferry companies operating in Europe, has licensed Seaware, the acclaimed reservation system already in use by cruise lines and ferries worldwide. Along with the benefits this major development will bring to SNCM, the ferry company is also investing in the project for the benefit of the companies it represents commercially: CMN, CTN, ENTMV, COMANAV, and TYRRENIA.

In addition to the system’s reservation and check-in technology, SNCM plans to take advantage of the following functionality:
– Flexible business rules engine to quickly respond to dynamic business conditions
– CRM functionality to manage marketing campaigns and loyalty programs
– Built-in Revenue Management to increase yield
– Complete reservation API functionality to connect remote devices and provide integration with other systems

SNCM operates in Mediterranean Sea. Its fleet of ferries travels to and from ports in France, Italy, Algeria and Tunisia. Versonix has long had a prominent profile in the international cruise industry. Among its clients are Disney Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, Silja Line, Tallink, and SeaDream Yacht Club. Its main product, Seaware, is considered by many industry observers as the ultimate in real-time travel reservations systems with sales, marketing, revenue and yield management capabilities.  A newly developed Cargo Management module will be available to Ferry operators in first quarter of 2009.

Versonix expects to provide ferry operators around the globe with the same level of patented technology, expertise, customer service and support that the company’s cruise line clients have enjoyed for years.
