Free Wifi a no-brainer, says Virgin Hotels

New brand offers guests Wifi from launch.

Virgin Hotels, which opens its first property in Chicago on 15 January 2015, will offer free Wifi with unlimited bandwidth to all guests in all areas of the hotel including its 250 guest rooms, or as they call them Chambers, and all public spaces.

Raul Leal, CEO Virgin Hotels, said: “We’re shaking up the hotel industry even before we open our doors by offering free, uninhibited Wifi: we believe that bandwidth is a right, not just a revenue stream. Along with no charge for room service delivery, no charge for late check-out and fair mini-bar prices, we’re designing our hotels for the true benefit of the guest.”

“Other hotel brands are finally waking up to the idea of giving guests what they want, including free access to Wifi, but we’re doing it right from the get-go.”

Virgin Hotels is a lifestyle hospitality brand that combines heartfelt service, straightforward value and a seamless, personalised hotel experience with the track record of innovation and smart disruption that Sir Richard Branson’s global Virgin Group has pioneered for over 40 years. Virgin Hotels Chicago opens on 15 January 2015 to be followed by Nashville in 2016 and New York in 2017.
